Information on reverse: Beachy Head Lighthouse. The lighthouse at Beachy Head, East Sussex, completed in 1902 was designed to protect shipping from the rocks below the highest white cliffs in Britain (530ft). The lighthouse stands at 43 metres high and was manned constantly until 1983 when it was fully automated.
